The Gauteng East Tennis Association (GETA) beat the North West in an inter-provincial friendly held at the GETA Complex in Lakefield on March 16.

The team dominated the tournament, with both its A and B teams winning their matches to walk away with the honours.

According to the GETA juniors chairperson, Karen McRae, the players gave it their all despite the scorching heat.

McRae said they hosted another fun tournament, the March Madness Mad Hatter, on March 21, which was their first red, orange and green dot competition of the year.

“It was a great day, especially as we had two sections where parents played with their children. It was really special to see how much they had fun and bonded,” said McRae.
