Ashton learners qualify for nationals

Ashton International College learners Owen Dalzell and Joseph Mukinay will represent Gauteng at the high school national athletics championships in Paarl after qualifying during the provincials at Germiston Stadium on March 2.

Dalzell grabbed a silver medal in the U17 boys’ javelin with a personal best throw of 60.09m and Mukinay cleared 1.95m in the in his category, earning himself a silver medal.

“Congratulations on this outstanding achievement Joseph and Owen. Your commitment and passion to the sport is truly commendable and an inspiration to all our aspiring Ashton athletes,” said educator Stacey Miller.
