Urban Ruins NPO’s winter wish list

Donate to Urban Ruins winter wish list and help them provide essential services to the community.

As winter is fast approaching, Urban Ruins NPO is pleading for donations to help them continue with their mission to support the less fortunate in the community.

The organisation relies heavily on the generosity of donors to provide essential services, including a daily feeding scheme that serves over 500 people in the community.

With the onset of winter, the demand for warm essentials is increasing, and they need your help to ensure that they can continue to provide for the needs of the community.

They have put together a winter wish list of items that they are in urgent need of, and they’d be grateful for any donations that you can make.

Their winter wish list includes:
• Rice: They use 50 kg of rice per week to prepare meals for the community.
• Pap: As a staple food in the community, they use 50 kg of pap per week. Donations of pap will help them to ensure that no one goes hungry this winter.
• Blankets: With temperatures dropping, warm blankets are in high demand. They need new or gently used blankets to distribute to those in need.
• Second-hand clothing: As winter sets in, warm clothing is essential. They need second-hand clothing, including jackets, jerseys, and pants, to distribute to the community.
• Sickbay beds: The organisation operates a sickbay for children in need of medical attention.

If you would like to donate any of these items, or if you would like more information about how you can help, please contact CEO, Clayton Viljoen, on 081 747 0833.
