The Daveyton-born and bred Luccia Mashel covers a range of beats, with a particular knack for current affairs and human interest stories.
She holds an advanced diploma in journalism from the Tshwane University of Technology and is pursuing her honours degree in journalism and integrated communication at the same institution.
Mashel gained valuable experience during her six-month internships at the Boksburg Advertiser and Benoni City Times newspapers, where she honed her skills under the mentorship of the newsroom team.
After her internships, she worked for Comaro Chronicle for over a year before joining the Boksburg Advertiser in April.
Through her work, she aims to inform and educate readers. She hopes to continue growing as a journalist and use her platform to impact her community positively.

At Caxton, every story is written by humans. We use AI only to perform quality checks - never to generate the news. Happy reading!
