The Boksburg community has come together to support Amanda Coetzee, founder of Kuselo Child and Youth Care Services, by donating a mobile oxygen cylinder and an oxygen concentrator.
The contribution was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Humanity Foundation and Urban Ruins Projects NPO, which are actively involved in fundraising to support Amanda’s ongoing health needs and community initiatives.
Coetzee, the founder of Kuselo, has been battling COPD for five years, with her condition recently advancing to a stage that requires frequent hospital visits.
Pierre Marneweck from the Humanity Foundation stated that donations not only will assist Amanda in her vital work but also ensure her health is prioritised.
“For over 20 years, Amanda has tirelessly supported families in crisis throughout Boksburg.
“Her role demands constant mobility to respond to emergencies and provide essential services, yet her health challenges necessitated a portable oxygen supply to keep up with her busy schedule.”
He emphasised the community’s pivotal role in raising funds for this initiative, acknowledging the contributions of Urban Ruins Projects NPO, Noordelike Mossies, and other organisations.

Marneweck extended heartfelt thanks to Shelby Enterprises for their donation, noting that the mobile oxygen cylinder is designed for easy transport, allowing Amanda to maintain her commitments without compromising her health.
“We are incredibly grateful to Shelby Enterprises. Their contribution ensures Amanda can continue her important work safely.”
Reflecting on the spirit of this initiative, Amanda expressed gratitude.
“Thank you for all the support. It’s truly a blessing. I am honoured to have been donated to the oxygen cylinder. It will help me greatly.”
While this donation marks a significant milestone, Marneweck emphasised the ongoing need for community support.
“We’ll keep our donations line open to cover regular oxygen refills and servicing of the concentrator,” he said, encouraging sustained involvement from the community.
