NPO needs help to equip learners

Thusang Community Development is appealing to sponsors for financial support or donations of school supplies. Those interested in contributing can call 081 242 2485.

Thusang Community Development (TCD) urges businesses, organizations, and compassionate individuals to support its school drive, which provides essential school supplies to underprivileged children in the Ramaphosa community.

The initiative, led by Lufuno Mudzuli, has already identified 50 children who urgently need school essentials like uniforms, stationery, backpacks and shoes.

“These children face significant challenges in accessing the tools necessary for a successful start to the school year.

“Our goal is to ensure they are not left behind due to their circumstances. Education is a basic right, and by equipping these learners with the necessary supplies, we’re giving them a fair chance to succeed.”

The TCD has worked tirelessly to secure donations but still needs additional sponsors to meet the needs of all the identified children.

Mudzuli stressed the importance of community involvement, highlighting how every contribution, big or small, can make a meaningful difference in a child’s life.

The school drive is part of the TCD’s broader mission to uplift vulnerable members of society through education, empowerment and community support initiatives.
