The school’s top achiever is Thandanani Mtshali, who rose above her challenges and earned eight distinctions.
“Some challenges I faced included the recent passing of my mother, and it has been me and my grandmother since then.
“But through it all, I stayed rooted in my faith, trusting that everything was in God’s hands. When studying, I had to focus, set my challenges aside, and get the work done.”

My advice to the Class of 2025 is to start as early as possible.
“Don’t overwhelm yourself; give yourself the time to stay on top of your work.
“Always do your best in assignments, but also pray, exercise, and meditate. Most importantly, never forget to put yourself first in everything you do. Focus on your own pace and strive to make yourself proud.”
Christian Brothers’ College (CBC)
All 63 candidates from CBC Boksburg who sat for the final examinations achieved a 100% pass rate, with 89% earning a bachelor’s pass and 11.1% securing a diploma pass.
This year’s cohort has set a remarkable standard of academic excellence, with several learners exceeding expectations.

With his eight distinctions, Tumisho Selamolela features on the Outstanding Achievers List.
Luke Scrase, the former head boy, earned seven distinctions.
Selamolela expressed his pride in his achievements, stating he was confident about his success. He emphasised the importance of hard work, utilising past papers and collaborating with others.
“I preferred studying with others because it fosters commitment. I used the school’s study room, working with my friend. It is easier to learn from a friend when unsure, and we would often test each other.”
His advice to others is: “Always put your best foot forward, strive for excellence, start early and plan.”
