Tenshinkan Karate Club youngster Dante Lucas again shone when she clinched two gold medals at the Vaal Triangle Championships at the Benoni Dojo at Lifestyle Centre in Rynfield on February 22.
Lucas dominated her competition in kata and kumite, grabbing gold as she continued her excellent run.
She was the only karateka from the club in the competition and chairperson shihan Catherine Venter was delighted with her performance.
“It was our first competition of the year. Well done to Dante. She’s quite the achiever,” Venter said.
The club will compete at the East Gauteng Championships at the Brakpan Indoor Sports Centre on Saturday (March 1).
