Dawn Park police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a burnt body on March 4.
The unidentified female victim was found in a trench adjacent to the R103 Old Heidelberg Road, next to Eskom, in Dawn Park.
According to Sergeant Nkemeleng Mabula, spokesperson for the police station, officers responded to the scene after receiving a report of a murder.
“Paramedics were called to assist, but the victim was declared deceased upon their arrival.
“We are urging the public to assist in identifying the victim and in gathering information that could shed light on the circumstances surrounding her death.”
