Valorous Woman NPO hosts heartwarming mother-child workshop
The workshop was designed to strengthen the bond between mothers and their children through meaningful activities, open conversations and practical advice on parenting and communication.
Families from across the community gathered at Mac Moo’s Party Farmyard on March 29 for a special event hosted by Valorous Woman NPO.
The organisation, known for its commitment to empowering women and families, organised a mother-child workshop that left attendees inspired and deeply connected.
The workshop was designed to strengthen the bond between mothers and their children through meaningful activities, open conversations and practical advice on parenting and communication.
According to Anthia Kepkey of Valorous Woman, the event aimed to provide a safe space for individuals to address past issues, foster understanding and build stronger relationships.
“The mother and child relationship is foundational to personal development and emotional. The workshop offered a chance for individuals to reconnect with their mothers or improve their parenting skills.
“The event featured experienced counsellors who guided families through interactive sessions focused on topics such as emotional intelligence, conflict resolution and empathy.

Kepkey noted that these skills are crucial for nurturing healthy family dynamics and fostering a supportive environment where children can thrive.
“By addressing past issues and fostering understanding, we hope to empower families with the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges together.”
She said it is so easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and forget how important it is to nurture relationships.
“In a world where life can get overwhelming, it’s essential to take time to reconnect with loved ones and build stronger bonds,” she said.
