Atlasville Tennis Club is keeping its doors wide open for new players through its popular Up and Coming Court, an initiative that provides a welcoming environment for beginners and players looking for a more relaxed and social game.
The Up and Coming Court is specifically designed for those who may not yet feel comfortable playing with the club’s more advanced members.
It offers a space where newcomers can develop their skills, enjoy the game, and build their confidence without the pressure of competition.
The court has quickly become a hub of activity, with both new and returning players showing up to play in a supportive and fun atmosphere.
Club chairperson and resident coach Kobri du Preez has been actively involved in the initiative, even joining new players on the court for a friendly set.
His participation underscores the club’s focus on inclusivity and fostering a strong sense of community among members.
“It’s been amazing to see players who were initially hesitant to step onto the court now enjoying the game and growing in confidence,” said Du Preez.
The Up and Coming Court remains open to anyone looking to join, whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time or simply looking for a more laid-back game.
Atlasville Tennis Club continues to encourage all players no matter their skill level to come and be part of the growing tennis community. For more information contact 083 267 9541.
