Benoni business owner kidnapped
Anyone with information that could assist is locating the suspects or victim is urged to come forward.
The owner of a Rynfield business was kidnapped following a robbery shortly after 09:20 this morning (July 23).
According to a trusted source within the SAPS, four armed men entered the premises on Pretoria Road, holding a security guard and store manager at gunpoint.
“It is alleged that the 42-year-old businessman’s hands were bound during the incident,” said the source.
“The assailants fled the scene in a silver Mercedes (registration unknown) with an undisclosed amount of money.
The vehicle was seen fleeing in the direction of Thembisa.
“No ransom demands have yet been made, and all key stakeholders have been mobilised to locate the victim.”
A case of business robbery and kidnapping is being investigated.
