CBC celebrates a season of grit and glory at rugby dinner and prize-giving

CBC recently hosted an unforgettable evening of celebration, honouring the grit, growth, and glory of its rugby players at the end-of-season rugby dinner and prize-giving.

Christian Brothers’ College recently lit up the night with pride, unity and celebration as the school hosted its annual end-of-season rugby dinner and prize-giving.

According to the school’s marketing manager, Nikita Teixeira, the evening paid tribute to the dedication, resilience and sportsmanship displayed by players across all age groups.
Teixeira said in a touching highlight, a special tribute was also made to the Matric Class of 2025.

“From their very first tackles to their final tries, their journey has been nothing short of inspiring. The school community reflected on their leadership, camaraderie, and the legacy they leave behind, both on and off the field.
“It was a night filled with pride and reflection. We came together not just to hand out awards, but to celebrate the character and heart these boys have shown all season. Their efforts reflect what CBC rugby is all about.”

Joshua Lainis, Liam Drummond (college head boy), Edward Mongwambe (strengthening and conditioning coach), Cullen Pieterse, Kyle Galliot, and Umnothi Mlaba.

She said the success of the event was made possible by the passionate and dedicated rugby committee, whose tireless planning and behind-the-scenes work brought the night to life.
“Their commitment continues to uplift the CBC rugby programme and nurture a deep sense of community within the school.”
