Local organisation honours women on the frontlines

Thusang Community Development’s August 29 Women Empowerment Event honoured women in law enforcement, frontline, and forefront roles, recognising their courage, resilience, and vital contributions to their communities and beyond.

Thusang Community Development hosted a Women Empowerment Event on August 29, with special recognition for those in law enforcement, frontline, and forefront roles.

The event was hosted by Eva Mathunyane, whose energy and engaging presence kept the audience captivated throughout the day.
Addressing the audience, Sergeant Lufuno Mudzuli of Reiger Park police station, founder and organiser of the organisation, spoke about how women go above and beyond, sacrificing and holding down demanding jobs while also playing the demanding roles of mother, wife, sister, and daughter.

“Their strength is unmatched, and today, we celebrate that power,” said Mudzuli.
