Ramaphosa Combined School empowered through safety and education initiative

The school talk delivered vital safety and educational awareness to approximately 320 pupils.

Thusanang Community Development, in collaboration with CPF, Reiger Park SAPS, Community in Blue and Gauteng Crime Prevention Wardens, recently held a school talk at Ramaphosa Combined School.

According to founder of the NPO, Lufuno Mudzuli, the school talk delivered vital safety and educational awareness to approximately 320 pupils.

Among other things, the speakers talked about substance abuse prevention and bullying.

“As part of the Adopt-a-Cop programme, we also donated essential educational supplies. These included 55 pairs of school shoes, 20 school bags, 50 calculators and pencils,” said Mudzuli.
“This initiative is aimed at motivating youngsters to prioritise their education and strive for excellence.”

Mudzuli said the team also engaged with parents urging them to play their role in supporting their children’s educational journey.

The discussions highlighted the crucial role parental involvement play to instill discipline and provide emotional support.
