Looking back, what one thing about Boksburg Lake or Bokkie Park do you remember most?

September 24 is Heritage Day. Do you have fond memories of Boksburg Lake or the Bokkie Park?

Nomsa Ngobeni: Quiet walks by the lake were my favourite. You could reflect on life while watching the water and the birds. It was peaceful and a real escape from the hustle of daily life.
Thabo Mokwena: I remember going there with my family for picnics on weekends. The lake was always full of children playing, ducks swimming, and people enjoying the fresh air. It felt like the heart of our community.
Helen van Wyk: Community gatherings at the Bokkie Park left a lasting impression. From school sports days to cultural celebrations, it was where families and neighbours connected and shared memories.
Helen Lienberg: Strolls around the lake with family were peaceful and enjoyable. Joggers, families, and ducks all created a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
