GETA announces IPT teams
The players will represent GETA in the U13, U15 and U19 interprovincial tournaments in January.
The Gauteng East Tennis Association (GETA) announced its age-group teams for next year’s interprovincial tournaments (IPTs) after hosting successful trials at the GETA Complex in Lakefield, on September 13 and 14.
A total of 16 U13 players – eight boys and eight girls – were selected to represent the region at the U13 IPT in Bloemfontein, while 16 U15 – eight boys and eight girls – and 14 U19 – seven boys and seven girls – players will also participate in the U15 and U19 tournaments in January.

GETA’s junior tennis chairperson, Karen McRae said, “It was a great weekend filled with great tennis. It was nice seeing many new faces. Well done to all who played and everyone gained experience and match play practice. Well done to all those who were selected for the IPT.”
The U13 team: Katherine Henderson, Jadah Subban, Melina Ferreira, Daniela Munro, Masesase Dlamini, Tayla Tucker, Azelle Nienaber, Nkanyezi Gasela, Matteo Ostoja, Santiago Gomes de Jesus, Eli Beharie, Leon Bezuidenhout, Noah Wilkinson, Aidan McConnachie, Gregory Gililand and Tony Yang.
The U15 team: Camdyn Farah, Jessica-Sam Du Preez, Miné Visser, Lizé Van den Heever, Aliyah Petersen, Marché du Preez, Omphile Sekhute, Stephen Maré, Tristan Franas, Kade du Plessis, Marco d’Alessio, Micheal Yang, Njabulo Hlatshwayo, Nkazimulo Sigasa and Filip Pésic.

The U19 team:
Girls: Jané du Preez, Tegan Brouwer, Azania Petersen, Morgan Bothma, Tatum MacNaughton, Ashley Moyo, Elena Odgers.
Boys; JC Strauss, Dante Bolani, Wian Brown, Jerry Joubert, Nathan Diggeden, Blessing Dube and Tshepang Monama.
