Provincial anti-substance abuse campaign coming to Reiger Park
Join the Gauteng government’s anti-substance abuse campaign at Reiger Park Stadium on Octoberr 27. Free medical support, skills development, and treatment services await.
Locals are invited to the Gauteng Provincial Government’s Tswa Daar: Phuma Lapho Anti-Substance Abuse Campaign at WJ Clement Stadium in Reiger Park on October 27 from 09:00.
The campaign, backed by the Soul City Institute, focuses on harm reduction, demand reduction, and supply reduction. Its slogan says it all: ‘Realising a Dream of a Drug-Free Gauteng City Region – Pulling the Plug on Drugs and Alcohol Abuse.’
Services at the event will include:
• Mobile medical assessments for substance users
• Assistance with affidavits for treatment centre admission
• Help with ID applications for accessing social services
• Profiling for jobs and skills development
• Intake assessments and outpatient treatment services
• Registration for skills development programmes
Residents are encouraged to attend, get involved, and take advantage of the services on offer.
