‘Feralspunky’ claims victory at EFC 129

The local MMA fighter dreams of becoming an EFC champion.

Parkrand’s Godfrey ‘Feralspunky’ Mkhwanazi continued his rise in the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) ranks with a powerful second-round TKO victory over Allistar ‘The Menace’ Kunene at EFC 129, recently held at the World Sports Betting Arena.

The bantamweight bout ended 4:46 into the second round. Mkhwanazi’s relentless striking secured him both the win and a performance bonus.

Despite his dominant performance, Mkhwanazi admitted to mixed emotions following the victory.

“It feels bittersweet. My opponent was actually my friend. Allistar and I have known each other for a few years, going back to when I used to compete in the amateur divisions.”
Mkhwanazi credited his preparation for the outcome, highlighting his dedication in the build-up to the clash.

“I made sure that I was fit, strong, and healthy enough to secure a decisive victory – and I did, by ending it in the second round through strikes,” he said.

While friendship added an emotional layer to the fight, Mkhwanazi was clear about his goals.

“Allistar was just another challenge to overcome on the road to becoming champion of the bantamweight division,” he said.

With another statement win and fan-favourite recognition under his belt, Mkhwanazi made it clear his eyes are set on an EFC gold.
