Reggie Ayer powers Boksburg’s fitness revival with December bootcamp

Ayer’s upcoming bootcamp blends discipline, community spirit and fitness innovation, offering participants a chance to reset and rise stronger.

Qualified Boksburg fitness coach Reggie Ayer of Parkrand, founder of R.Style Performance Training, is fast becoming a driving force in community wellness, using his hybrid bootcamps to empower residents with discipline, confidence and physical resilience.

Ayer, known for his From Setbacks to Strength series, says the motivation behind his bootcamps comes from wanting to make quality fitness accessible to people who may not belong to a gym.
“Training outdoors helped me develop a strong and focused mind. I wanted others to experience that same feeling, regardless of their circumstances.”

His sessions have become known for their high-energy, hybrid-style structure that blends strength, endurance and mental conditioning. Participants move through rotating stations and unexpected challenges, an approach Ayer uses deliberately to keep the mind sharp and the body engaged.
“Despite the intensity, the sessions remain inclusive. Anyone struggling with a movement receives a safe alternative, ensuring all fitness levels feel supported.”

Looking ahead to the December bootcamp
The next From Setbacks to Strength – Hybrid Bootcamp will take place on December 6 at the Boksburg Stadium, and Ayer says participants can expect a fresh mix of new workout variations, energy-driven sequences and surprise elements.

“I always enjoy taking people out of their comfort zone. This December bootcamp will bring new challenges, new stations and more motivation than ever.”

Prize challenges, including squats, burpees and core competitions will also return, with cash prizes, supplements and R.Style apparel up for grabs. But Ayer stresses that while the prizes excite people, the deeper message matters more.

“When you stay consistent and put in the work, good things come. That’s a lesson people can apply in training and in life.”

Strength through community
Ayer said his previous bootcamp drew praise for its atmosphere of unity and determination.
“Every participant pushing through to the end became a defining highlight. It reminded me how strong people truly are. They just need the right environment to unlock it.”

He believes fitness mirrors life’s challenges, unpredictable, tough and ultimately rewarding.
“No one is coming to save you, besides God,” he often tells participants.
“You must build the discipline to overcome whatever stands in your way.”

He continues to do outsourced fitness work while growing the R.Style brand.
As his movement expands, Ayer hopes to inspire more people in Boksburg to prioritise their wellbeing through consistency, faith and self-belief
“Everyone has greatness inside them. With time and faith, it comes out.”
