Volunteer to help out at ERPC’s charity shops in Boksburg

East Rand Palliative Care (ERPC – formerly Hospice East Rand) is looking for volunteers for its Freeway Park and Van Dyk Park charity shops.
This is a chance to not only assist at the shops but also connect with the community while gaining a sense of fulfilment by being of service to others.
From DIY enthusiasts to sales people with the gift to upsell, there is space on their roster to accommodate all.

Whether you are a whiz at levelling drooping shelving or possess the creative flair to create show-stopping displays, you are called upon to share your talents.
Charity shop volunteer’s functions include:
• Assisting the manager.
• Serving customers.
• Helping to unpack, sort donations and price mark items.
Time commitment
Ideally, you should be able to volunteer two to four hours once a week on a weekday.
The charity shops are open from 09:00 to 16:00 on weekdays and from 09:00 to 12:30 on Saturdays.
Two to three people are always on duty together.
Volunteers do not get remuneration for their services.
Shops are located at:
• Van Dyk Park Shopping Centre, Olive Street.
• Freeway Park Shopping Centre, corner Constantia Road and Kingfisher Avenue.
