The race attracted a field of over 4000 runners. Christiaan Klopper successfully defended his men's title, while Lucy Young, second last year, rode to her first victory in the women's event.

The race, which raised funds for Retina SA, took place at Boksburg Stadium on February 15. Over 4 000 riders took part in the 125km main race and the 62km event, as well as a new 8km fun ride.

Over 60 para-cyclists, the biggest field since the para-category was introduced in 2024, also participated in the event.
