Though it is not a full Blue Drop audit, it still contributes to the management of risks that may affect water services, in line with Blue Drop requirements.
The exceptional score assists the city in maintaining the Blue Drop Status it has attained since the inception of the Blue Drop certification programme, and it has also consistently ranked amongst the top ten Blue Drop recipients, as per the Department of Water and Sanitation’s 2023 Blue Drop score results.
The CoE continues to be committed to providing the community with safe water that complies with the Drinking Water Standard, SANS 241, as well as the Blue Drop criteria.
