Mdaka putts to victory at ERPM

She collected 43 points to finish in first place.

Punkah Mdaka putted herself into the Ekurhuleni Senior Women’s Golf (ESWG) monthly competition at ERPM Golf Club on May 13.

Mdaka secured top honours after collecting 43 points in her round, finishing two points ahead of runner-up Rika Strydom, who was second with 41 points.

Mel du Preez rounded up the podium with 37 points, while Sonja Louw secured the fourth spot with 37 points counted in. Bonne Bamber completed the top five with 35 points.

ESWG chairperson Charmaine Stone congratulated the ladies on a successful round.

“Well done, ladies, for your excellent results,” Stone said.

“Thank you to the ERPM Ladies Section for the lovely raffles donated. It was great to see Neela Jivan back at golf, and thank you, Carol Allers, for joining us for lunch. Jessica Tichy played her first senior game this year after a hip replacement in January.”
