Bernina Boksburg donated essentials for newborn babies to the Tambo Memorial Baby Pack Network on March 5.

The items included quilts, jerseys and toiletry items like powders and creams.
Adele Huyzers, owner of Bernina Boksburg, said this donation is part of their annual community responsibility.
The business offered free training to its clients who, in return, were asked to contribute at least one baby item for charity.

The Tambo Baby Pack’s Sandra Law expressed her gratitude for the support.
Law explained that they were prompted to do something after learning about the plight of some of the moms who give birth at the hospital.

“Some would leave the hospital with their babies wrapped in newspapers or plastic, and others resorted to abandoning their babies. We distribute ‘bags of love and hope’ weekly at the hospital’s maternity, neo-natal and neo-natal ICU wards.”

The organisation is appealing for any form of support to keep them going.
This includes volunteers for deliveries, baby lotions, disposable nappies and sanitary pads for the moms.
