Realtors quietly continue to support the community

“Small contributions make a big difference.”

Over the past decade, Aida Boksburg Real Estate in Parkrand has not only hammered sold signs into the ground, but also cemented itself in the hearts of residents.

As temperatures steadily drop, the estate agency has again launched its annual Winter Warmer Drive as a means of giving back, and they plan to collect winter essentials as quickly as they sign mandates.

“Through our work, we come face-to-face with the desperate challenges that members of the community have to deal with on a daily basis,” said managing principal Denver Ramnath.

“Households are surviving on minimal food while children often face the winter chill without shoes and proper clothing. It’s heartbreaking and it’s for this reason we launched this initiative in 2016 to collect blankets, warm clothes and non-perishable food to assist those in need.

“We align ourselves with local charity organisations committed to extending a helping hand and our agents make a conscious effort to deliver support as they identify a need.

“With the support of the community and local business we are able to bring comfort during the unrelenting winter months.
“We don’t do this for recognition or praise because caring for others doesn’t shout or display; it quietly assists without expectation.”

So as many prepare to stow away their summer wardrobe, making space for woolly warmers, consider donating those outdated or snug garments to this project, thus spreading warmth and care.

Alternatively donations can be delivered to Aida Boksburg at 200 Trichardts Road, Parkrand.
