Local police officers receive medals for long service
Ekurhuleni district commissioner Major General Anna Sithole handed over the medals to the officers.
Four members of the Boksburg North SAPS were awarded medals for their long-standing service to the community during a medal parade in Springs on September 7.
Detective Captain Sanna Leburu and Warrant Officer Anton du Plessis were honoured for 30 years of service.
Warrant Officer Jaco van der Mescht and Sergeant David Makung received medals for serving 20 years as SAPS members.
Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Constable Justice Ramaube congratulated the members on their milestones.
“They are officers who lead by example,” said Ramaube.
