Learners enjoy police visit

The learners learned a lot from the kidnapping scenario police and stakeholders conducted.

Members from the Boksburg North SAPS conducted a kidnapping scenario at Laerskool Witfield with stakeholders, including Boksburg North CPF Sector Three and a local security company on September 20 as part of the Adopt-A-Cop initiative.

Learners from Laerskool Witfield and Wit Deep Primary Schools were in attendance.

The day started with a talk from police officers about safety, gun safety, drugs and bullying among other things.

Later on, police conducted an exciting kidnapping demonstration to illustrate learners should not approach strangers. The officers and stakeholders fired blanks during the simulation.

The project is also aimed at building a good relationship between the school and the police. It also encourages school safety.

Laerskool Witfield and Wit Deep Primary Schools of Sector Three manager Frans Ledwaba’s schools are in the Adopt-A-Cop initiative.
