The following cases were recently finalized at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court:

Theft
Sauderagan Naransamy (55) from Dalpark was sentenced to an R6 000 fine or five years in prison on November 16 for stealing.

He pleaded guilty and was found guilty of theft on the day of sentencing.

Naransamy stole groceries to the value of R2 105.10 from Pick n Pay on August 5.

Magistrate Havenga presided and prosecutor Lingani represented the State.

Edvaldo Miquel Tanda (32) from Daveyton was sentenced to an R6 000 fine or 12 months imprisonment, wholly suspended for five years, on November 14 for theft.

He pleaded guilty and was found guilty on November 14.

Tanda stole items from Leroy Merlin to the value of R3 629.90 on August 29.

Magistrate Havenga presided and prosecutor Lingani represented the State.

Gugulethu Ginindza (37) from Johannesburg was sentenced to three years behind bars on November 17 for stealing.

He pleaded guilty and was found guilty on the same day as sentencing.

On August 10, he stole toddler jeans, jeggings and boys’ dark blue chinos from Jet.

Furthermore, Ginindza was also recently sentenced to three years imprisonment for another shoplifting incident.
Magistrate Havenga presided and prosecutor Lingani represented the State.
