Four armed men robbed the Chris Hani Clinic, in Villa Liza, of valuable items on March 1.
The spokesperson for the Dawn Park SAPS, Sergeant Nkemeleng Mabula, said the robbers held the security guard at gunpoint and tied his hands with rope.
“They then forced open the clinic’s main door and ransacked the offices before stealing 16 computers, four plasma TVs, a four-plate stove, a microwave and a gazebo.
“The perpetrators got away in a vehicle,” explained Mabula.
Anyone with information can call the Dawn Park SAPS on 011 862 8000/17 or 071 675 6940, Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or use the MySAPS app.
The spokesperson for the City of Ekurhuleni, Zweli Dlamini, said they condemn such senseless acts of thuggery.
“Healthcare is an essential service and a basic need for our people. It is frustrating to be slowed down by these heartless thugs.
“We encourage residents to protect such facilities and not shield the perpetrators,” Dlamini said.
“Anyone who has information and is not passing this on to the police is as bad as the criminals themselves.
“You never know when you or a family member will need the services of the clinic, so it’s important to keep it safe.”
