Missing man found dead in Benoni
The man was reported missing in Boksburg North before he was found murdered in Benoni.
Police are investigating a case of murder after 43-year-old Craig William Payne Findlay, who was reported missing in Boksburg North on March 5, was found dead on the corner of Railway Avenue and Divot Street in Benoni the following day.
According to Benoni SAPS spokesperson Captain Nomsa Sekele, CMS Security responded to a call of a man lying on the side of the road.
“Upon arrival, the officers found the man had suffered severe injuries to his head and other parts of his body. He was still responsive at the time, and according to the officers, he told them that he was from Kempton Park.
“However, he could not provide any further information before he died on the scene,” said Sekele.
According to a missing person’s flyer circulating on social media, Craig was last seen by his girlfriend when she dropped him off at Kirschner Road to go look for a missing drone.
“Craig said he would call to be picked up when he found it. He never called and has not been seen or heard from since,” read the flyer.
