Criminals wreak havoc in Boksburg
Here are some of the serious crimes reported within the Boksburg SAPS policing precinct recently.

Based on the latest overall crime reports, the crime trends suggest that criminals, who are after valuable electrical appliances, are of late targeting more businesses, and they normally strike during the night.
Rape
A Sunward Park woman told the police that she was ambushed and raped by an unknown man while walking along Trichardts Road on April 12.
According to police reports, the man grabbed the victim and took her to a secluded spot where she was pushed over and sexually assaulted. After her ordeal, the woman walked back to the road and flagged down a passing police van to report the attack. Along with the officers they went to the scene, but the man was nowhere to be found.
Robbery
In Parkdene, a gang of six armed men recently invaded a residential property on Black Street and helped themselves to the house contents. Police reports indicate that the criminal gang arrived at the address in a car and entered the house. They started to ransack the house while the helpless victim, a woman, was watching.
Also, in Parkrand, robbers, driving in a bakkie, entered a home on Wolhuter Street and forced their way into the house where they stole valuable items on April 13. According to police reports, the victim, a woman, was watching TV when he noticed a man carrying a crowbar inside the house. The intruder reportedly instructed the victim to remain quiet while he was ransacking the house. A TV set, laptop, cellphone and jewellery were among the stolen items.
Break-in
The City of Ekurhuleni’s offices on Trichardts Road has become one of the latest victims of the rampant property crimes in the Boksburg CBD when thieves forced their way into one of the rooms and stole a computer. Police reports revealed that the complainant, an official, left the office on April 7 and when he came back on April 13 he noticed that the window had been broken and the office computer was gone.
Thieves forced their way into one of the businesses at Angelo Industrial Park on Main Reef Road and stole kitchen appliances, including a stove, microwave and a kettle during the night between April 13 and 14.
Criminals also during the same period, broke into the business located on Trichardts Road, Parkdene, where they stole copper cables and batteries.
In Boksburg South, thieves forced their way into a business on Dudley Smith Street and stole a generator sometime during the night between April 14 and 15.
Car theft
A man had his white Nissan NP200 stolen within a few minutes after parking it on the roadside on Kingfisher Avenue in Freeway Park on April 15.
