Help police identify murder victim

He suffered gunshot wounds to his chest and back and sustained a deep open wound to the right side of his ear.

Boksburg SAPS detectives are looking for information after finding the body of a man with at least three gunshot wounds.
A murder docket has been opened.

Preliminary investigations suggest that he was shot in Angelo informal settlement on July 9, when he suffered gunshot wounds to his chest and back and sustained a deep open wound to the right side of his ear.
The detectives are now seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the man.
The deceased is described as an African male who was wearing blue jeans, a navy-coloured jacket and had a black sock on one foot.

Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Ntsako Ledwaba said that to identify the deceased, his fingerprints have been run through databases from the Department of Home Affairs but no match was made.
