A man identified as Sabelo Zungu of Wattville died in a hail of bullets in the latest deadly shooting in Angelo informal settlement in Boksburg.
According to the information received, the man was driving a white Toyota Quantum in the informal settlement just after 18:00 on April 21 when the assailant/s ambushed him and sprayed him and his kombi with multiple bullets.
Emergency service personnel certified the victim dead at the scene, and his body was taken to Germiston State Mortuary for further investigation.

The kombi’s rear windscreen and one left passenger window were smashed, and the tyres were punctured and found deflated.
Zungu’s body was found lying on the ground next to the kombi, and the police found multiple bullet cartridges around it and the kombi.
The motive for the killing is unknown. The police are investigating a case of murder.
