Wit Deep Primary targeted by burglars

The thieves gained access to the school by breaking the fence on Tait Street.

Thieves made off with 12 projectors after breaking into Wit Deep Primary School over the weekend.
School principal Heather van den Aardweg said that staff members discovered on February 3 that the school had been broken into.

According to Van den Aardweg, the thieves gained access to the school by breaking the fence on Tait Street.

“We’re shocked by the break-in. This comes as a huge hurdle as the education of our learners will be affected until we can replace everything. Some of our classes were also vandalised,” said the principal.

The principal urged the community to come forward with information and to be on the lookout for projectors being sold.

Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Constable Khakhathi Siphoro said investigations are underway.
