Two arrested in connection with young father’s death
The father was described as a loving family man.
Police have confirmed that two men have been arrested in connection with the death of Brandon Pretorius, a young father from Jansen Park who succumbed to injuries on May 6 following an assault.
It is understood that the assault stemmed from an incident at the Malbroer pub and grill in North Rand Road in the early hours of April 26.
Pretorius sustained serious injuries in a reported assault outside the venue. His attackers allegedly followed him on his way home and assaulted him again.
Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko confirmed that the suspects were apprehended this morning (May 12) and are facing murder charges.
The men are expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on May 13.
