Boksburg suburbs are plunged into a complete power outage.

Large parts of Boksburg North were left without electricity this morning due to a power equipment failure, plunging thousands of homes and businesses into darkness.

Affected areas include the Anderbolt industrial site, Ravenswood, Eveleigh, parts of Jansen Park, and other sections of Boksburg North.

City technicians are currently working to restore power, but no estimated time for restoration has been provided yet.

The City of Ekurhuleni has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
