Biker killed in crash with bus

A motorbike rider died in an accident involving a bus on the Atlas Road bridge near the N12 on September 7.

According to Ekurhuleni DEMS spokesperson William Ntladi, they dispatched resources at 16:33.

“Crews from the Leon Ferreira Fire Station arrived on the scene. The bus passengers were all transported to the nearest hospital, but the bike rider was, unfortunately, declared dead,” he explained.

“His body was found under the bus. It was alleged he crashed into the side of the bus and died instantly.”

The scene was handed to the EMPD.
