Mall gives cops an energy boost

The goodie bags contained energy-boosting items to help them get through the busy festive period.

Christmas came early this year for staff of the Boksburg North SAPS as the East Rand Mall handed out goodie bags to them at the station on December 6 as a token of appreciation.

The goodie bag contained energy-boosting treats with these messages: Bar One (for your 25-hour day), Smarties (be the smartie we know you are), KitKat (because you deserve a break), Energy drink (to keep going), Energy powder (you’ve got the power!) and peanuts (East Rand Mall is nuts about you).

According to East Rand Mall marketing manager Fradene Smith, the mall wanted to thank the station for always assisting them with crime-related issues when the need arises.

Boksburg North SAPS station commander Colonel Mack Mngomezulu thanked the mall for the gesture.
