Children enjoy Christmas party at Laerskool Goudrand

The children enjoyed lunch and fun activities.

About 450 children enjoyed a Christmas party at Laerskool Goudrand on December 9.

The party, attended by children from less fortunate communities such as Reiger Park and Blue Skye informal settlement, was hosted by Be a Light Foundation, Urban Ruins, Rysky and Make a Difference.

The main aim of the event was for children to walk away with an unforgettable Christmas memory.

Children and parents were treated to lunch, and the children enjoyed jumping castles and fun activities.

Musicians Franco van Zyl and Elzé Rose entertained the attendees.

Furthermore, Morné Luyt (13) of Boksburg North, who has brain damage and recently lost his father, also received a gift sponsored by HRDC Springs SAPS.

The organisers thanked everyone who contributed the success of the event.
