Six Christmas babies welcomed at Tambo Memorial Hospital this year

Six babies – three girls and three boys – were delivered at Tambo Memorial Hospital on Christmas Day.

Oyisa Vundisa, who weighed 3.700kg, was the first baby to be born at the hospital at 01:40.

She was followed by baby Franker and baby Khoza, who weighed 2.660kg and 2.790kg. Franker was born at 02:05 while Khoza come into the world at 02:10.

The fourth child born at the hospital, at 02:25, was baby Le-Roux who weighed 2.960kg.

The Van der Merwe and Mashaba babies were the last bundles of joy to be welcomed into the world at the hospital by the time of publication.

One of the mothers, Angela Franker, said she is excited about having a Christmas baby.
