Festive season was quiet says Boksburg North SAPS

Several operations over the festive season yielded good results and led to arrests.

The Boksburg North SAPS reported several arrests over what they have called a quiet festive season.

According to station commander Colonel Mack Mngomezulu, two men between the ages of 33 and 35 were arrested in connection with a business robbery that took place on the night of December 29.

He explained about six men broke into a store on Main Reef Road, near the Angelo informal settlement.
The owners of the store were inside and one suspect held them at gunpoint.

The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of money and stock.

Investigations led police to two of the suspects and they were apprehended in Angelo.
Mngomezulu highlighted that several operations in December yielded good results and led to arrests.

Over 60 people were arrested for drug-related crimes, over 10 for public drinking and 20 for being in the country without documentation.
