Forum donates school shoes
The forum is committed to providing skills development in the community.
The Reiger Park Community Forum donated over 400 school shoes to underprivileged learners in the community on January 15 at the AGS Church.
According to the forum’s chairperson, Rosemary Jacobs, they donated the shoes because they noted a need in the community.
“We started the initiative last year when we were able to donate 130 shoes. Hopefully, we can hand out even more shoes next year,” explained Jacobs.
Jacobs said they had developed an application form to ensure the fair distribution of the donations.
The forum thanked everyone, including Ackermans, Reiger Park Business Forum and AGS Church, for contributing to the initiative.
A beneficiary whose daughter received shoes expressed gratitude to everyone who made the donation possible.
