Boksburg organisations, businesses celebrate Mandela Day
Local organisations and businesses heeded the call to spread kindness in honour of Nelson Mandela’s birthday.

The Boksburg SPCA, Boksburg Community Projects and Tetra Pak were among the businesses and organisations that opened their hearts on Mandela Day.
Boksburg SPCA
The society gave residents who cannot afford to sterilise their pets the chance to do so for R67. They conducted sterilisations on over 30 animals.
They thanked V-Tech for sponsoring the medication to make the procedures possible. Call the SPCA on 011 916 5906.

St Francis Care Centre
Tetra Pak donated milk, juice, food and toiletries to the St Francis Care Centre.
Staff from the company also took the time to educate the children about the importance of recycling.
This ties into Tetra Pak’s commitment to making food safe and available, everywhere, and its promise to protect what is good: food, people and the planet.

St Francis Care Centre manager Tilly Brouwer expressed her gratitude, “Words cannot express what this donation means to us. Whatever we get helps us through the year. We will put the donation to good use in our children and adult sections.”

Call St Francis on 011 894 4151 or 083 406 7977.
