Boksburg players selected to represent the Valke
The club is looking forward to watching its players make their mark at the Valke IPT and beyond.
Boksburg Youth Rugby Club is beaming with pride after players have been selected to represent the Valke in the Interprovincial Tournament (IPT).
The selected players for the U14 team are Ashton Jordaan, Brendan Otten, Lehan Venter, Logan Duncan, Nathan Bubb, Nkateko Baloyi, Stefan van Niekerk and Tristan Uys.
Another player, Kian Greyling, was selected for the U15 team.
According to the club, the Valke IPT is one of the most competitive youth rugby tournaments in the country, drawing top talent from across the region.
Club managing members and coaches expressed their pride and excitement over the selections.
“This prestigious selection marks a significant achievement for the club and its players, who have shown dedication, skill, and teamwork throughout the season.
“We are incredibly proud of our players. They have worked tirelessly both on and off the field to hone their skills, and this selection is a reflection of their dedication.
The selected players will now have the opportunity to showcase their abilities on a bigger stage, competing against the best youth rugby players in the country. This experience is sure to aid their development as athletes and open doors for future opportunities in rugby,” said Cherice Minnaar, chairperson of the club.
