Students receive qualification
The academy congratulated the students on obtaining their qualifications.
The Beauty and Laser Academy students recently received their formal qualification at a graduation ceremony at Little Nero’s.
The academy’s 18-month programme is a national qualification that includes six beauty therapy subjects, six nail technology subjects, 15 business and salon management subjects, 15 different aesthetic laser treatments and basic piercings (ear and nose).
Principal Tanya Parsons said their youngest student is 16 and the eldest 54, adding that more than half of this year’s graduates are mothers, three being pregnant while studying and one being a mother of four.
