Kuselo opens free daycare

This initiative will help parents get back on their feet.

Kuselo Child and Youth Care Services, an NPO providing a stable home for babies and young children, announced the launch of its free daycare service, Kuselo Angel Day Care.

This initiative aims to support parents in the community by providing a safe environment for their young children while they search for employment and attend to errands.

According to Ebbiegail Kramm, Kuselo’s operations manager, the decision to offer free daycare stemmed from a clear need identified in the community.

“We want to ensure parents have the opportunity to get back on their feet. It is our way of giving back,” Kramm explained.

The daycare caters to children from birth to age four and operates daily from 07:00 to 16:00.

In addition to supervision, Kuselo Angel Day Care provides meals and bath time, ensuring children’s basic needs are met while their parents are away.

One beneficiary, Lorraine Smit, expressed gratitude for the service.

“I can now leave my three children in their care while I go out and look for a job. It has made a significant difference in our lives.”

Other community members support this initiative by donating funds, food and toiletries to help sustain the daycare and its valuable services.
