Enjoy Melville Koppies your way
On the second Sunday of each month poetry reading and open mic sessions take place.
Melville Koppies is open every Sunday from 08:00 to 11:30.
Choose from many options to enjoy the area – self-guide yourself on the 5km trail or 3km heritage trail or book a guided tour (R100) on 079 532 0083, starting at 08.00 sharp.
On the second Sunday of each month poetry reading and open mic sessions take place and on the last Sunday of the month, a 8km guided hike leaves at 08:30 sharp.
There’s also a scavenger hunt for those with exploring minds.
Visitors can book their own group guided tour on any day of the week and if you chat to them about your interests, the tour can be adapted to accommodate this.
The facility enjoys visitors sharing their knowledge, which in turn they share with other visitors.
The cost is R100 for adults and R50 for under 18s, and there are special rates for school tours.
There is safe parking opposite the entrance to Melville Koppies at Marks Park Sports Club in Judith Road, Emmarentia.
All income is used for maintenance of the Koppies and security on the Koppies is provided.
