Mall donates 200 pairs of school shoes to New Comet Primary School

The school is grateful for the donation.

East Rand Mall blessed New Comet Primary School with a donation of 200 pairs of school shoes on February 11 following the success of the mall’s #walkinmyshoes project.

The mall embarked on the project to make a child’s journey to school a memorable one in December and it was well supported by mall tenants.

“The marketing team visited stores to ask for shoe donations. Each store could donate one pair of shoes, however, some tenants gave a little more to assist with reaching the goal of assisting New Comet Primary,” said marketing manager Tshepiso Kgowana.

Some donors that stood out include Krispy Kreme (200 doughnuts), The Tshisusu Foundation (200 plastic mugs with sweets), Allisons Mens Exclusive Wear (over 50 pairs of shoes), John Dory’s (14 pairs of shoes), Pedros Chicken (10 pairs of shoes) and Wimpy Entrance 1 (seven pairs of shoes).

“We’re happy with the relationship we have with East Rand Mall and are thankful for the contribution they are making in educating our learners. We’re hoping to sustain our relationship with them.”
