Tshepo Ya Sechaba, an NPO dedicated to supporting the elderly in and around Dawn Park, will host a music concert on April 30 to raise funds.
According to the founder of the organisation, Cynthia Nhlapho, the NPO relies heavily on donations to continue its community-focused initiatives. Hence they are appealing for support to raise enough money to address the financial challenges the organisation has been facing.
Nhlapho said the upcoming music concert is expected to feature performances from local choirs and musicians, with tickets available for purchase to support the event.
“The event is not only a fundraising opportunity but also a celebration of community spirit and the power of music to bring people together.”
Tshepo Ya Sechaba, meaning hope of the nation in SeSotho, has been a beacon of support for the elderly since its inception.
The organisation provides a range of activities, including an elderly choir and sports tournaments, designed to restore joy, dignity and fulfilment to the lives of seniors.
It also works to raise awareness about social issues affecting the elderly and advocates for their rights and protection within communities.
